This little fryer is GREAT! The metal is nice and heavy (Thick) I don't have any problems with the lid falling off (As long as I align the small gap in the tab on the pan) The size is perfect for me. I really like the drain feature in the lid and the lid design that curves in to minimize splatter. I have used this for shrimp, tots, tempura shrimp and wings (wings seam to take a long time) so far so good.

This makes frying super easy. I like the splash guard and the built in rack which allows oil to drip off the food after it's done. It also allows you to use much less oil if making small batches of fried food, like for 1-2 people. Just don't put too much food in at once because there's less thermal mass than a normal fryer (you're using way less oil) so a ton of food at once will lower the temp too much. I use this for japanese tempura as well as western style fried food.

Looking at this stove top deep fryer you would think it had more size to it, it is very small but yet well built, when looking at it in the image you think cheap thin aluminum but your wrong it is well built, and of great quality.

I fried 2 boneless chicken breast, they were so golden brown. I seasoned them well, soaked them in buttermilk and a egg wash. I then coated them with flour, fried them until they were crisp and golden.

This is great! It never gets too hot because there is a thermometer to help you control the temperature. It is small in size with a deep enough well that you won't have to use a ton of cooking oil. Its easy to clean and the stage one drain (pre- towel) is awesome! I thought I would try fish and chips today. I rarely fry food so excuse my camera work. I'm afraid of the hot oil. Note: If you have a gas stove with a grate top like mine, make sure your pot is stable and secure before, during and after you cook. Even when allowing the oil to cool.
